Back to Gotham - Welcome Week Calendar

Welcome to the official blog for William and Philip, two of the Faculty Fellows in Residence at Gramercy Green. This blog will let you know about all of the events we are planning and it will also be a place for you to let us know what's going on. We are really excited about the Back to Gotham theme and have some fun events planned.

The exact dates and times are listed on the calendar but here is a quick preview.

The Art of Gotham - Save Gotham
August 27 Wednesday 3:00 pm
Take a private behind-the-scenes tour of the MET with William Crow, associate museum educator. Learn about the history of the collection and visit the extraordinary "Superheroes" show presented by the Costume Institute. Tour limited to 25 so send an email to philip.kain@nyu.edu to sign up. Admission and tour will be free.



Gotham Grows
September 1 Monday 3:00 pm -5:00 pm
Join Philip and William on the terrace of their apartment and pot a plant or a seed for your new digs.




Gotham on Screen
September 4 Thursday 8pm - 10pm
Watch Woody Allen's "Annie Hall" under the stars on our terrace. It's like a driven without your car. We'll provide the flick and refreshments. Bring your own pillows and blanket.




Inaugural Café 1707
September 14 Sunday Noon - 2pm
Once a month we'll host a Sunday cafe and provide bagels, coffee, The New York Times and a few international news sources. Join us for our inaugural event.



William's Printmaking Studio
September 17 Wednesday 8:00pm - 9:30pm
Join William in the common space and learn about the upcoming "Rhythms of Modern Life" show at the MET and make your own relief print for your apartment.



Homemade Cookiefest and Puzzle Help
September 23 Tuesday 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Enjoy homemade cookies in our apartment but help us put together the puzzle first.




Dinner and a Broadway Show
October 2 Thursday 6:00 pm

Every time you attend an event we sponsor during August and September you will get a chance to enter to win tickets to a Broadway show and dinner in our apartment.
